Dan took the girls night skiing for the first time, and Kevin and Beck (his first time skiing) went with them. This is the only picture, but I wanted to document it:
We had some more warm days at the beginning of the month so we spent one afternoon outside. Olive didn't even know this was an option. Now that she's discovered it and is old enough to make her wants known, she stands at the door and cries all the time to be let out - rain, snow or shine.
We finally rode the ferris wheel at Scheels, where my arms were not long enough to get a picture:
Olive found Dan's gloves:
Ellie learned how to do her back bend and back walk-over:
She did it so much the first day that she hurt her wrist and couldn't do any gymnastics for two weeks!
Olive found Alta's headphones:
Olive found this jacket in our old baby clothes:
You can't see it, but Alta tied a jumprope between Olive's car and Ellie's wiggle car so she could push Olive and pull Ellie at the same time:
Olive coloring at Grandma Lorna's:
Alta's top tooth finally came out while she was brushing her teeth. She was so excited that she ran to tell Dan while she had blood all over her teeth and mouth. Here she is all cleaned up:
Olive found a little backpack:
We have been talking about going to California (and Disneyland) for months and months, but Dan has been so busy at work that it seemed like it was never going to happen. We finally decided we should try for March. And then a few days later, on a Thursday morning, Dan woke up and said, "Let's go tomorrow". So we did. Alisa and Jamie had nothing going on and it ended up being the perfect weekend to go. I'll do a separate post on the trip, but it was a whirlwind day trying to pack. Our car was very full, look at all these cousin clothes we've been sharing!
And then a few more pictures from the end of the month (after our trip).
Olive found Alta's sunglasses:
Olive found Kit the doll's hat:
And we went to Snogression with Kevin, Mal and Beck. Olive bounced a little too much with Dan and laid like this for a loooong time:
And a little on Olive this month:
-Have you noticed a theme with my pictures? She has become obsessed with finding anything she can wear. Shoes are her favorite and almost every time she wakes up, I get her out of her crib and she goes right to her closet and bangs on the door so I'll open it. She pulls her box of shoes out and makes me put each pair on until she decides on one. And then she changes them throughout the day.
-She is also showing her frustration more. She always wants the toys that Alta and Ellie have (Alta handles it much better than Ellie). She gets mad when I won't let her have what she wants or won't let her go outside. She also gets mad anytime Alta or Ellie sits on my lap, or Dan hugs me for too long.
-She loves to smile at strangers and we always catch random people making silly faces at her to keep her attention.
-She says "dada" whenever she sees Dan and gets so excited when he comes home from work. She will say "mama" when I ask her to, but has never called me mama. She sometimes says "a-ta" for Alta. She says "ba" for bath and "anana" for banana (probably her favorite food).
-She points to her nose no matter which body part you ask her to point to.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you guys hadn't ridden the Scheel's ferris wheel before! I've gone on it so many times I've lost count. :P
