Olive rarely eats vegetables but every once in a while she surprises me. It turns out she loves the leftover piece after spiralizing a zucchini:

 Alta and Ellie got their sprucewood t-shirts to wear every Friday for Spirit Day, and they were sized so much bigger than I expected! Still cute:

 The first weekend in November I went to St. George with my sisters but I have enough pictures of our hike that I'll do a separate post.

The next week we had our first snowfall! Olive was pretty fascinated with it:

 And then she realized it was cold so we had to get snow clothes out:

We used our free night at the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird to celebrate Dan's birthday (a little late). Lorna watched the girls and Dan and I went to the Hoof and Vine for dinner and then headed up the canyon in the M3. Dan hadn't put his snow tires on and we had to turn around at the entrance to Snowbird because we were sliding all over.  We got the Mazda and drove back up. But the snow was beautiful! We loved sitting in the outdoor hot tub watching it come down. Our obstructed view from our room:

This is the night we introduced the girls to Mr. Roboto: 

 I don't remember why we played it for them, but from the first time they heard it they were obsessed for months. They would get the mat out and do this little dance and Olive always jumped right in.

That weekend Snowbird opened so Dan took Alta and Ellie skiing: 

Olive was really frustrated that she didn't get to ski so after a while I took her out of the car and Dan carried her down Chickadee a few times. 

She loved it and asks to go skiing with Daddy all the time now.

Enjoying the fall weather, and Olive figured out how to swing if the swing is as low as it can go:

Olive started talking more and more this month. One of her funny new phrases anytime she didn't want to do something (eat her dinner, get her pajamas on, go to bed, etc.) she'd say, "No! Don't want it."

We went to St. George for Thanksgiving. We made the mistake of leaving late in the evening thinking the girls would fall asleep on the way there. Wrong. 

Alta and Ellie fell asleep maybe 20 minutes before we got there, and Olive was awake the whole time, probably until 11:30. They were cranky from the lack of sleep and it made for kind of a rough trip part of the time!

The food was all delicious as always. This year I made a savory sweet potato dish and a couple pies. We were hard at work all morning:

The day after Thanksgiving we all went out with the Razors and dirt bike. Alta and Ellie have really started loving going on rides and aren't scared about going fast. Ellie went with Mark and Alta went with Dan:

On Saturday, Dan and his brothers set up the cable cam and hooked Olive to it using the jumper. She really liked it, but I think she liked Mitchell running her around the house in it even more: 

We drove home Saturday night so we could be back for church on Sunday. The plan was to leave in the afternoon but once again we didn't end up leaving until 6:30 or so and once again the girls were awake the whole time. NEVER AGAIN.

On Sunday night we got the Christmas tree out. It's always exciting to start getting ready for Christmas!
