This year both Jamie and Alisa and their families came out to Utah for Christmas. We loved having more family from the Palmer side around for the holidays! We were doing a lot of driving between Draper and Provo to try to spend as much time with everyone as we could, but it was worth it.
I may have to get more pictures from my mom because I have very few from that week everyone was here. We tried to go skiing at Sundance one day but between a snowstorm and poor planning, the Sundance parking lot was full and we decided we didn't want to take 8 kids plus ski gear on a public bus. We opted for sledding at Rock Canyon Park instead:
One night we went to a friend of my parents who is a major train enthusiast. Every Christmas he sets up several train tracks throughout his house and lets people come see them. They were really impressive!
On Christmas Eve we packed up and slept over at my parent's house. All the kids got new pajamas that night. Except for Olive. She got hand-me-downs but didn't know the difference (and months later she still talks about how she got them for Christmas whenever she wears them!)
I made those pajama pants for Alta and Ellie. I did it the night before, with no pattern, and they amazingly fit them just right.

The Fogts left most of their presents at their house but did bring the big family present: a hoverboard. I don't have a picture of the girls trying it out, but they got the hang of it and Alta especially could have done it for hours. Here's Holden:
That's it for pictures, but the Fogt family and Marinos family stayed for a few more days after Christmas and we spent most of the time with them just hanging out at my parents so the cousins could all play.
