Thanksgiving Point Gardens (March 2015)

On the last day of March we went to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens with my mom. It has become a tradition to go every spring during the Tulip Festival. This year we went a few weeks early but still saw plenty of blooming tulips and daffodils!

I made this it's own post because there were too many cute pictures to choose from. Thanks for taking most of these, Mom!

The girls always get to feed the koi when Grandma comes:

 Olive wanted to as well. She would grab a single piece of food with her little pincers (and surprisingly not eat it)

 Then hold it for a while and slowly let go and watch it fall:

 Alta and Ellie each got a little book where they get stamps for doing certain things in each of the Thanksgiving Point venues. We were reading what we needed to do at the gardens. Feed koi? Check.

 I had forgotten Olive's shoes, but luckily it was an absolutely beautiful day and no shoes were needed! She would have walked around the entire gardens by herself had I let her. She would occasionally stop and touch some flowers, and then move on.

 Someone told us where to find this owl sleeping near the waterfall. I'm pretty sure it's a Great Horned Owl:

Alta was tired and getting a rash from rolling in the grass down a hill, so she sat in the stroller with Olive in her lap. Those two are heavy together!
