December 2014 (part 2)

Natalie, Jeremy and Kaitlyn flew in right before Christmas. As usual, we spent as much time at the Browers as we could.

Lorna had Alta and Ellie over to play and make cookies with Kaitlyn.

Stories with Uncle Joomy. The girls found their crowns that were supposed to be for Christmas.

We went to see the lights at Draper Park on Christmas Eve and Santa was there! This picture is horrible and hilarious:

We slept over at the Brower's, which is a tradition we love and will keep doing as long as we can! The girls had been playing in these boxes all morning and really wanted to sleep in them. So we let them. When we went to bed after watching a movie together, we found them asleep like this for real:

We woke up the next morning to a WHITE Christmas! It was perfect. Everyone was still in bed so the girls checked out their presents that weren't wrapped (skis and boot bags) and looked in their stockings (walkie talkies, a huge hit).

Eventually everyone got up and we started opening presents. Kevin, Malorie and Beck were in Hawaii and we missed them.

Olive opening her second (and last) present:

Alta and Ellie's most exciting presents were their dolls. Alta got Kit and Ellie got an "American Doll Girl" as she calls it (and it's not even the real thing), plus clothes and accessories. Lorna knew they were getting them so she gave them matching Elsa and Anna dresses:

We also got to Skype with Pat in Texas. Everyone sat around the computer and listened to his stories:

We spent the rest of the morning playing. Natalie and Jeremy got the girls a cotton candy maker and Jeremy helped them get it all set up:

We went back to our house so we could have Christmas lunch with part of my family. My mom was at her low-immunity point after chemo so we thought we weren't going to get to spend time with her. I was so happy when she called a few days before and decided she could see us. Brian and Colleen came too and we ate and spent time chatting. I didn't get any pictures, but my mom sent me this cute one:

Later in the day we went back to the Browers to see all the extended family there.

It was another wonderful Christmas!
