At the top of the tram (lots of pictures, it was so pretty, and Olive is cute)
It was more green than I've ever seen it in late August.
It started to get pretty cold but we came prepared!
It was a great way to celebrate my birthday!
The next night we watched Beck for a little bit. He's the cutest little guy. A few months ago we let him borrow Ellie's old car (forever known at our house as "the car-car") and Mal brought it with him for the night. The girls took turns taking him for rides, and then Dan put Olive in and tried to get Beck to push her:
Really he was just bugged that she'd taken his car:Move over!
They decided to play with sticks instead:
Cousins!
At the end of the month Ellie started soccer. She's been begging to play for so long and she was really excited (at first...). She's on a team with Ellie S. (And she got a haircut!)
Alta and Ruby play at the playground during practices. Getting buried in rocks:
Another night Olive discovered this little car and likes to sit on it:
And lastly was a 40-mile training ride with Anna. We went from Lehi to part of the way up Provo Canyon:
And that sums up August!
Olive seemed to change so much during her 6th month:
-worked on crawling all month and finally figured it out!
-two days after learning to crawl she started climbing up the stairs
-a few days after that she started pulling herself to standing on everything she could
-didn't like solid foods until about the last week of this month. Except for little pieces of cheerios, she would turn her head and clamp her mouth shut anytime I tried to get a spoon near her mouth. I started giving her chunks of food and she liked that much better. She is much happier if I let her feed herself. (It gets a little messy.)
-her napping can be sporadic but she is a great sleeper at night

It's funny - I'm finally getting around to working on my blog posts for August. Looks like you're all up-to-date! Sadly I still have tons of pics to go through for my last two posts.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe we're both 29...it feels kinda old! I'm glad you had a happy birthday and got to get away for a night! Those pictures are beautiful at the top of Snowbird and Olive is seriously to die for. Such a cute little girl!
ReplyDeleteThose first few pictures are BEAUTIFUL!!! Also, you mentioned on Friday night that you can't seem to get things done...but you're all caught up with blogging, you bike like a bazillion miles, your house always seems to be clean, you manage to can, freeze, etc. all those peaches, you have your kids in all kinds of activities, and you all manage to have a lot of fun together in the meantime. Seems like you're doing MARVELOUSLY! :)
