Spring Break 2014 - part 2

Spring break continues...(and almost all photo credits go to Lorna)

Thursday: Swimming in the morning (as is tradition in St. George) and pouring water on Grandma's head:
Ellie always smiles like this for the camera:
Kevin, Malorie and Beck came in the afternoon and we went back to the fountains/splash pad we had gone to earlier in the week. Except this time all the spring break vacationers were there and it was crazy busy and not nearly as fun.

But we did ride the carousel afterwards, which Ellie had been talking about for days:
Lorna took this cute picture of Olive at some point during the day; I love it:
Thursday was also Malorie's birthday so Lorna and Mark offered to watch all the kids so Kevin & Mal and Dan & I could go out to dinner. We went to Xetava and enjoyed a kid-free, delicious meal with amazing bread pudding for dessert.

Friday: In the morning we went to the art festival and looked at all the booths. Once again, Ellie only wanted to ride the carousel so we did that again:

We went swimming in the big pool in the afternoon where we convinced Ellie to go all the way under the water for the first time ever. We bribed her with ice cream. Alta still refused. Dan took both girls to Baskin Robbins but didn't get Alta any ice cream and made her just sit there and watch. We are mean parents...

Saturday: The boys wanted to spend the day razoring. Alta, Ellie, Lorna and I went to the sand dunes with them for the first hour so the girls could go on rides.
It was the girls' first time going off-road on them. I was sure Dan, Mark, and/or Kevin would make them cry with their crazy driving, but they loved it and asked to go again and again. Alta asked me to take her and then told me I drive too slow.
We went swimming in the hot tub that afternoon and our ice cream cruelty paid off because Alta finally went under the water. We had to go to Baskin Robbins again that night!

Sunday: Easter!
Family picture after church:

We had a little Easter egg hunt for the girls followed by a delicious lunch. Then we cleaned and packed. Alta kept Olive happy while we were getting ready:
And then we headed home!
